BOSTON — June 29, 2026 — Massachusetts House passes $7.703 billion interim spending bill before the fiscal year 2027 budget deadline. The House voted unanimously Sunday to enact House 5534, an act making certain appropriations for fiscal year 2027 before final action on the general appropriation bill, clearing the measure through multiple procedural stages and committee releases in a session lasting under 20 minutes of active floor time. Mark D. Sylvia of Fairhaven led repeated motions to suspend House rules to advance the bill.
