Massachusetts Senate Schedules April 15 Vote on $3.6 Billion Resilience Bond Bill

BOSTON — April 8, 2026 — Massachusetts Senate sets April 15 floor date for a $3.64 billion resilience bond bill. The chamber adopted a procedural order Wednesday moving Senate No. 3050, the Ways and Means Committee's substitute draft of a bill to build resilience for Massachusetts communities, to a second reading on April 15, with all amendments due electronically by 5 p.m. April 10. President Pro Tempore William N. Brownsberger moved to suspend the rules to advance the scheduling order, which drew no objection. The session also saw final passage of two local measures — an act amending the charter of the Town of Sandwich and an act authorizing Springfield to help residents meet local tax obligations — and a bridge naming bill for Hopkinton advanced to a third reading.
