Massachusetts House Passes Credit Union Pay Bill, Boston Police Age Waiver in Brief Session

BOSTON — June 18, 2026 — Massachusetts House passes credit union pay bill and Boston police age waiver in quick informal session. The House met briefly Wednesday, June 18, passing House No. 1338, allowing fair compensation of Massachusetts credit union directors, to engrossment after Representative Thomas P. Walsh of Peabody successfully amended the bill to add an emergency preamble and strike Section 2 — a change that could allow the law to take effect immediately upon the Governor's signature.
