BOSTON — May 4, 2026 — Massachusetts Senate sets May 19 as budget debate day, with a May 8 amendment deadline. The Senate adopted a procedural order Monday filed by Senator Michael D. Brady of Bristol and Plymouth, placing the general appropriations bill, Senate No. 4, as the sole calendar item for May 19 and requiring all amendments to be filed electronically by 3 p.m. on May 8. Senator Brendan P. Crighton moved to suspend the rules so the order could be taken up immediately, and it passed by voice vote. The chamber also adopted a resolution by Senator Paul R.
