BOSTON -- July 9, 2026, The Massachusetts House of Representatives accepted the resignation of Representative Rodney M. Elliott of Lowell's 16th Middlesex District and advanced eight local bills in a brief July 9 informal session. Elliott's letter to House Clerk Timothy Carroll announced his departure effective August 1, 2026, with no floor debate accompanying the filing.
